This is the procedure to view or change the Machine Model Number: This is the keyboard: ________________________ | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | 000 | 0 | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| a. Press these two keys marked with 0's together, depressing the one marked 000 just slightly before the other one. b. The top line of the display will show the Press Machine Model Number that the Registration System thinks that this _Press_ is. (If the controller is fresh from the factory, then the Press Model Number will most likely be 04 for a Mark IV press. That's why you have to change the Press Machine Model Number to the one assigned to your type Press: 01 Commanders, Pro-glides, MSPs, etc. 04 Mark IV Series Presses. 14 Mark IV Series Presses of a certain type (doesn't make any difference for Registration, actually). 05 Mark III Series Presses. c. Rotate the hand encoder to adjust the Press Machine Model Number. (Only valid machine types will show up on the display, so, you can select a wrong Press Model, but you can't select an invalid one). For example, if your Press is a Pro-Glide, dial in 1 as the Press Machine Model Number. d. To make the Registration Sysem remember the new value, press the two keys marked with 0's together, depressing the one marked 000 just slightly before the other two: ________________________ | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | 000 | 0 | |_____|_____|_____|_____| | | | | | | | | | | |_____|_____|_____|_____| Pressing any other key(s) will make the Registration Sysem forget about any changes you attempted to make. This is the way you view (and verify) the current value without making a change. e. It's good practice to check your work by repeating steps a and d above, omitting changing any data. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright 2009, Michael L.
